After many years of hard work, dedication, and commitment to this breed, I recently applied for permanent registration of my kennel name with The Canadian Kennel Club.

Achieving this registration requires meeting specific conditions, so receiving this recognition is a reminder that the years of hard work are paying off. It’s a milestone I’m incredibly proud of, but more importantly, it’s a stepping stone toward a much bigger vision that is still to come.
Sometimes I look back and wonder if I ever imagined I would get to where I am today. I started out simply loving the breed and wanting to produce the best German Shepherds I possibly could. I wanted quality dogs with excellent health, temperament, structure, and the ability to excel in whatever direction life took them.
The opportunity to import and build a program around the caliber of dogs I have today is truly a dream come true. But this journey hasn’t been accomplished alone. Behind every milestone is a team effort, and I wouldn’t be where I am today without the European breeders who have trusted me, shared their knowledge, supported my vision, and given me the opportunity to bring some truly exceptional dogs into my program.
Equally important are the families and individuals who have trusted me to help them find their next dog. Whether it’s a family companion, a working prospect, or a dog with a specific purpose, you are putting a tremendous amount of trust in me to make those decisions. That trust means more than you know, and I am grateful for every person who has believed in what I’m building and allowed me to be part of finding the right dog for them.
There are so many people who have contributed to this journey in different ways, and I don’t ever want to lose sight of that. Elhart K9s is built on more than just dogs and pedigrees. It’s built on relationships, trust, shared knowledge, and people who believe in the same vision.
I’m proud of how far we’ve come, but if there’s one thing I’ve learned along the way, it’s that you never stop striving to do better. There is always more to learn, more to accomplish, and another generation to improve upon.
I’m grateful for the dogs, the people, the friendships, and the opportunities that have helped shape this journey. I’m proud of what we’ve built together, and I’m even more excited about what the future holds.
Here’s to many more years of dedication, passion, teamwork, and hopefully a few more milestones along the way…
Or until Nala and Lint decide they’ve had enough of me and take me down! ![]()
